Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
This policy explains what information ShockingGuy.com ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, how it is used and the choices you have. ShockingGuy.com owns and operates this site.
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we collect what you type: your name, email address and message. It is stored encrypted and used only to read and answer your message. We do not sell it, rent it or add you to a mailing list.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting records technical details about requests, such as the page requested, the time, browser type and a shortened or hashed form of your IP address. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and they are deleted on a rolling schedule.
- Security checks. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from abuse.
- Your TV settings. The TV remembers your last channel and whether the static sound is muted. This is stored only in your own browser.
- Affiliate clicks. When you click a product link we count the click so we know which products are useful. The count is not tied to your identity.
We do not use advertising trackers on this site.
YouTube
ShockingGuy TV uses YouTube API Services to list videos from Dan's channel and uses YouTube's embedded player to play them. Nothing loads from YouTube until you turn the TV on. Once you do, YouTube, a Google service, may collect information about you and set cookies or similar technologies according to its own policies.
By using the TV you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can review and revoke Google's access to your data through the Google security settings page.
Amazon
When you click a product link, you leave this site for Amazon.com. Amazon may set cookies to credit the referral, and your activity there is covered by Amazon's Privacy Notice.
Other links
This site links to other websites such as YouTube and Linktree. Their privacy practices are their own.
Children
This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep information
Contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond and handle any follow-up, then deleted. Logs are kept for a limited time for security.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete a message you sent us by using the contact form. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Choosing not to turn on the TV keeps YouTube from loading.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections, and contact form messages are encrypted when stored. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact form.
